What do I need to know before waxing?

1. If possible, allow your hair to grow for four weeks before each of your first few appointments. We want to get all of your hairs on the Anagen (Growing) Stage AT THE SAME TIME. This is very important to see the best results after a period of time. Stay on this schedule until your waxing therapist advises you otherwise.

2. You must not use a sun bed, sauna or have any heat treatments in the three (3) days leading up to your appointment. Do not apply any body-lotion or body-oils on the day of your waxing appointment.

3. DO NOT shave, tweeze or use any hair removal creams between waxing appointments.This throws off your hair growth pattern, making it difficult to achieve the smooth skin you want.

4. Always gently exfoliate 24 hours before your waxing appointment.

5. It is recommended to schedule your next appointment before you leave your appointment.
Keeping on a schedule will help you to maintain smooth skin and greatly decrease the hair that grows back.

6. You'll get a consultation form when you make your booking. Don't worry; the first time it covers quite a lot of stuff but that's just to make sure everything is safe for you and if the treatment is okay for you to have.

7. If you have Diabetes or Epilepsy, we will wax you only if your doctor says it's OK - in writing.

8. If you are using acne cream or steroid cream on the area to be waxed, or creams that contain Accutane or Roaccutane you must not be waxed because they thin the skin and you can easily tear during waxing. The same applies to creams like Retin-A, Renova and Differin. Please wait until 6 months has passed since you LAST used the cream.

9. It's advisable to bring a fresh shirt to put on after your chest, back or armpit wax.

How old do I need to be?

We will not wax anyone who is under the age of 18 years.

What do I need to do after waxing?

Don't worry; there are just a few simple rules to follow on the first couple of days after waxing. These will be sent to you via email.

What areas can I get waxed?

For male waxing we offer face (including ears, nostrils, brows etc), chest and back. Sorry, we don't offer men's intimate waxing (Hollywood, Back/Sack/Crack etc) or waxing of male genital areas.
